I sleep 23 hours a day in odd places.
Welcome to Hexie’s Story
You’ve discovered Hexie, one of the original dolls from the Rag Mischief collection by Yasemin at Alexa & Rosie. Each Mischief doll has a story stitched between the seams — this page unlocks hers.

Height: Around 18 -21 cm
Hexie the Black Cat
Hexie isn’t lazy, she’s just busy in her dream world! Every nap is an adventure: chasing moonbeams, walking on rooftops, or catching stars in her paws. She always wakes up just in time for cuddles (and maybe snacks). What she worries about most? That she might miss out on something fun while she’s snoozing.
Hexie was stitched from scraps of dark linen and the soft hum of dreams. She’s the sleepiest of all the Mischief dolls, she can nap anywhere, at any time, and often in the oddest places. You might find her curled up in a teacup, dozing on a bookshelf, or half-buried in yarn.
She sleeps almost twenty-three hours a day. When she’s awake, she wanders about in a daze, blinking slowly, half in this world and half still dreaming.
But even dreamers have fears. Hexie’s fear is missing out, on fun, on laughter, on all the tiny, shining things that happen when her eyes are closed. She worries the world will spin too fast while she’s napping. So sometimes she tries to stay awake too long, stitching herself to the edge of the moment until she drifts off again mid-thought.
She’ll tell you she’s “just resting her stitches,” but that’s never the full truth. Hexie sleeps because she dreams beautifully and in her dreams, she keeps the Mischief safe.
About Her Fear
Hexie’s fear of missing out speaks to anyone who feels like life moves too quickly. She reminds us that it’s okay to pause, to rest, to drift. Sometimes the world looks clearest when you wake up slowly.

How Hexie Was Made
Each Hexie is made from soft black cotton fabric and one curious eye that never quite closes. Her seams are visible, a reminder that she’s stitched together by naps and daydreams.
Care & Display
Hexie may sleep most of the day, but she still likes to be treated gently.
• Keep her away from direct sunlight, it makes her squint.
• She prefers quiet corners (bookshelves, sewing tables, or windowsills).
• Surface clean only, using a soft dry cloth.
• Do not wash, tumble dry, or iron (she will nap straight through it).
• Art doll for display; not suitable for children under 14.
If she disappears, check odd places, she’s been known to nap inside baskets, drawers, and occasionally, teapots.

A Note from Yasemin
Hexie taught me that even rest can be powerful. I made her on a day when I was too tired to keep going — and somehow, that made her truest of all. She’s proof that slowing down isn’t the same as giving up.
