What’s Next From the Worktable

Reflections, family moments, and a little fox on the way…

October was full — in the best possible way.
My parents visited from Istanbul, and the house was alive with laughter, stories, and the comforting kind of noise that only family brings. My dad helped with a few home projects (he never can sit still for long!), and my mum and I found ourselves talking about yarns and fabric just like we used to when I was growing up.
In between all that warmth and chaos, I still found a few quiet hours at the worktable. There’s something grounding about returning to the rhythm of making, yarns, hook, needle, and the soft sound of fabric coming together. Those moments always remind me why I started Alexa & Rosie in the first place: to create things filled with love, calm, and a bit of story.
Back to Yarn
Now that the first Mischief dolls have found their homes, it’s time to turn my attention back to yarn and crochet. The next free pattern is nearly ready — a clever little Fox 🦊 who’s been keeping me company while I work. He’s full of charm and a touch of mischief (of course), and I can’t wait to share him with you soon.
If you’ve been following from the crochet side, this one’s for you. It’s playful, beginner-friendly, and makes a lovely autumn project.
A Little Gratitude 🍂
As I look back on October, I just feel thankful for family, for everyone who welcomed the Mischief dolls, and for this small but growing creative space that connects us all.
Hello November! And new stitches, quiet moments, and the joy of making.
With love,
Yasemin
